Parents' Forum

Education is always more successful when a school works with parents and carers.  We are always keen to hear your views. The school holds a Parents' Forum meeting every half-term, where you can discuss your views with us over a cup of coffee.

Regular consultation with parents is really important to us and the Parents' Forum provides a valuable way for you to communicate and for us to listen to your ideas and concerns, seek your views and ensure we are meeting the needs of our pupils.

There is an open invitation to all parents to attend the Parents' Forum. Meetings will take place between 5.30pm - 6.30pm.

If you would like to attend a Parents' Forum, please contact Mrs Nicola Cooke  on 0161 445 8053 or email - please request any items/issues that you would like us to add to the agenda.

Although not a decision making body, the forum has the opportunity to influence decisions through an open dialogue. The agenda items are suggested by parents as well as by the school and through our meetings, we aim to develop a stronger partnership with parents by improving communication.

Issues that have been discussed at the forum include:

  • School development planning
  • Cost of school trips
  • Parents' Evenings
  • School policies
  • Sex Education
  • Lockers
  • Homework Policy
  • Changes to examinations

Feedback from the Parents' Forum is included in school letters which are distributed to all parents.
